Dr. Polizos has been a practicing Podiatric physician for 25 years. He is certified by the American Boards of Podiatric Surgery and Podiatric Medicine. He is currently a fellow of the American College of Foot and Ankle Surgeons.
He is honored to have been a Past President of the Illinois Podiatric Medical Association. He has served as a board member for the Illinois Podiatric Medical Association for 17 years. He has held multiple board and committee positions since 1995, and was also a Past President of Zone One, Chicago area of the Illinois Podiatric Medical Association.
Dr. Polizos has a degree in Biomedical Engineering from Northwestern University and received his Doctorate in Podiatric Medicine from the William Scholl College of Podiatric Medicine. He has several publications and enjoys lecturing on multiple topics within the field of Podiatric Medicine including wound care and limb preservation techniques.
He is currently the medical director and an attending clinical instructor at the Wound Care and Limb Preservation Center at Swedish Covenant Hospital. He has spent 10 years practicing with a large orthopaedic group serving the Chicagoland area. He currently has private practices in Chicago and Arlington Heights, Illinois.
